I chose Marking to take photos of my Pilates studio for marketing purposes. His photography showed emotion, energy, strength and action. Getting headshots for your business whether you’re an actor, a brand ambassador, a business owner or a freelance contractor is one of the most essential tools you need on your belt. Moving back down to Los Angeles to pursue my dreams of being an actor, I knew that in order for me to have an edge in the game, I needed to have a headshot that said “HIRE ME.” Marking came highly recommended by a good friend of mine, who’s career is also taking her to new heights. I finally scheduled my session with Marking and the shoot was more fun and relaxing than anxiety driven. We toured Downtown to find the best locations that fit my style, my character, my brand. He gave me suggestions on how to pose for the camera, a new element introduced to me, even though I’ve had several headshots taken of me in the past. He made me feel comfortable in my skin, and approached the shoot with the utmost professionalism. When the pictures finally rolled out into my inbox, I was beyond ecstatic. I finally saw myself the way I’ve always pictured myself. Confident, strong, mysterious, handsome and charming. He captured those perfect looks that gave me the confidence to go into an audition and land the role- spoiler alert: I DID. The casting director and director even said, “That’s a really good headshot!”
